Up and running in our new space!
At last we are now fully operating in our new space in West Seattle! After a delay in construction which landed us in an awkward space decorated with the most intense royal blue carpeting imaginable, my partner Roz Boyd, LMHC and I are settled into our new permanent space in Jefferson Square located in the West Seattle Junction.
I’m quite happy to say that the new office boasts a hint of a water view and the two walls of windows allow for plenty of light- so important as we head into the fall months. The intention of this space is to create a healing experience from the moment you enter. While talk therapy tends to focus on the “talk” part, the aesthetics of the environment and how your senses and body respond to these aesthetics is an equally important component of the therapeutic process. Every element of this space was chosen with this intention in mind.
Convenience, privacy and safety are also important elements and were taken into consideration when choosing and designing this new space. The office is located on a main bus line with ample amounts of free parking. To help create a safe and private space we have employed the use of sound machines and the office may only be accessed by a coded keypad entry.
We hope our clients find this to be the safe place needed to do the important personal work of therapy and for us to do the work we are passionate about for many years to come!
