Meet your therapist

I'm so glad you're here.

My name is Treina Aronson and I am a licensed therapist in both California and Washington states with nearly 20 years experience helping others improve their wellbeing.

I understand that seeking therapy can be a difficult decision. My goal is to create a safe place to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. And offer a supportive environment to learn new skills and explore areas of change and growth.

I’m interested in treating the whole person and believe mental wellness is best achieved when the mind and body are working in harmony. I use evidence-based therapies and tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client. I view psychotherapy as a collaborative process and work closely with my clients to help them achieve their goals.

Whether you are dealing with anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship issues, or other mental health concerns, I am here to help. It takes courage to take the first step towards seeking therapy. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you on your journey towards healing and growth.

My Approach

Step 1: Assessment and Goal Setting

During your initial session, we’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy. I'll ask questions about your current challenges, past experiences, family history, and personal goals.

Step 2: Developing a Plan

Based on the information gathered during your initial session, we’ll work together to develop a plan that outlines your therapy goals, the frequency of sessions, and the types of interventions that we will use. I'll also make sure to provide you with an overview of the therapy process, so you know what to expect in our sessions.

Step 3: Therapy Sessions

In your therapy sessions, we’ll work together to identify belief systems that no longer serve you, or never did. You’ll explore your emotions and learn tools to manage them and skills to build resiliency. We’ll look at the whole-self, including relationships with others and the world around you. We’ll find out what is supporting and what is depleting your wellbeing. Most importantly, we’ll clarify and build upon the strengths you already possess.

Step 4: Regular Review and Feedback

Throughout your sessions, we will regularly review and evaluate progress towards your goals. This will allow us to adjust your plan as needed and ensure you are getting the most out of your therapy sessions. I encourage feedback from my clients. This helps me meet you where you’re at.

Step 5: Graduation and Support

When you have made the progress you were seeking, we’ll work together to develop a plan for maintaining your gains and meeting future goals. Often, this plan will include spacing sessions apart. This gives you time to practice what you’ve learned while continuing to have support and accountability. When you are ready to graduate, we’ll discuss resources to help you continue to thrive beyond your therapy sessions.
