Feel fulfilled.
You’ve spent most of your life looking out for others—now you’re wondering who’s looking out for you.
Even as a kid, you felt responsible for keeping your household running smoothly. You know how to read people and anticipate what they might need or how you might be able to help them. This has become a foundational part of who you are professionally and in your personal relationships, but no one seems to reciprocate the same amount of consideration or support you give them.
-
You’ve always prided yourself on your ability to be resourceful and handle things on your own. Recently, though, that’s been feeling more like a curse than it used to. It’s like you’re expected to solve everyone’s problems, so you have a hard time saying “no” when others ask for your help. You want to help those around you, but you’re also so tired. Now, you just want to be able to relax and find some peace, so you can get back to enjoying your life.
-
The memories of what happened have never really left your mind. Even when you can go a day or two without thinking about it, it always reappears in your thoughts or dreams. Maybe this event happened in your childhood—some kind of emotional, physical, or sexual abuse or neglect—and you wonder why you haven’t been able to shake the feelings you had then. Or, maybe it was a more recent incident, and you’re still not sure how to process what you went through. You’re ready to leave the past in the past and focus on what lies ahead.
-
Whether it’s family or romantic relationships, it seems like you’re always getting the short end of the stick. You feel the need to make yourself smaller to accommodate others, and you don’t feel heard or understood by the people who are supposed to love you most. It’s left you feeling like you’re not good enough, or like you have to be “perfect” to earn their love. You just wish the interactions you have with your loved ones could be less taxing and like you can be yourself around them.
HI, I’M TREINA.
I want to help you understand your feelings & give you tangible solutions to create lasting change.
It can be daunting to ask for support, and I want to acknowledge that taking this step toward feeling better is something to be proud of. It’s not selfish to dedicate some time for yourself—it’s self-care!
That being said, I respect the fact that you care for others, and I won’t ask you to give that up when we work together. Instead, after we talk about what’s going on and the challenges you’re facing, I’ll offer you some theories and observations from an expert perspective, and then support you in developing your own insights.
In the early stages of the work we’ll do together, I’ll help you find tangible, pragmatic tools that will help make your daily life a bit easier. I have a background in yoga, so these might include breathing exercises or mindfulness techniques.
Later on, we’ll delve into some longer-term work to help uncover the origins of the struggles you’re facing today. This will help you rebuild a more stable foundation and create long-lasting change, so you can live a more deliberate, fulfilling life.
How I can help
I support highly responsible adults who give too much of themselves & want to learn how to enjoy life on their own terms—without sacrificing their values.

Overwhelmed and constantly on edge? Anxiety and burnout can leave you feeling drained and unable to cope with everyday life. Therapy offers a safe space to explore these feelings, learn coping strategies, and gradually regain your sense of balance.
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy method that helps you process and heal from past trauma or difficult experiences. By using guided eye movements or other bilateral stimulation techniques, we can work together to help your brain reprocess painful memories to reduce their impact on your day-to-day life, so you can move forward with a lighter heart.
-
EMDR intensives offer a concentrated approach to healing trauma, providing extended sessions over a shorter period. This can be particularly effective for those who want to make quick, profound progress, allowing you to dive deep into your healing process and emerge with a renewed sense of clarity and peace.
-
As a fellow clinician, you might encounter clients needing specialized trauma support beyond your scope. Adjunct EMDR can complement your ongoing work by providing focused trauma processing, enabling your clients to address deep-seated issues and return to you ready for the next steps in their healing journey.

I can explain a bit more about my approach and the options available. I am licensed to serve clients virtually in Seattle and across Washington and California.
